The step-by-step course that helps doctors and nurses to pass the OET exam with a grade B.

Our mission here at Swoosh English is for you to pass this exam and help you achieve your ambitions and dreams of becoming a doctor or a nurse in the UK.

Why do medical professionals find OET so difficult?

  • You are required to complete the OET exam which is quite unfamiliar and challenging for medical professionals wanting to work in the UK.
  • A grade B in OET is a high level for a non-native student who perhaps doesn’t get daily practice in English and doesn’t have access to native speakers, especially native teachers who would correct your English, provide corrections, give suggestions for improvement and also provide feedback.
  • Studying OET takes a lot of effort and a lot of self-study. Finding the time to complete the course can be difficult when you have long shifts at the hospital.
  • Some students underestimate the difficulty of the exam and so they lose confidence and motivation quickly when they fail.
  • If medical professionals don’t get the right advice from a qualified OET teacher, they just don’t know why they keep getting a grade C or below.
  • Many students make the mistake of just looking for Youtube videos and practice materials they find from 100 different people online – all telling them different and confusing information which confuses and overwhelms them. Do you feel like this too? Let us help you with our step-by-step video course! ☺

I joined Swoosh English to know more about OET for nurses and it has been a great platform for everyone trying to improve their English. The reading course helps me improve my skimming and scanning skills and it also improves my knowledge on the reading exam itself for the OET exam. Patricia

I like how Teacher Katherine made this video more interactive by providing exercises to the viewers. Although the task about writing a topic sentence is quite challenging but I believe this will also be very helpful in the writing exam. Overall, I personally like the format or structure of every lesson which is overview, lesson and review as well as the exercises after because I believe this is very effective in reinforcing learning. More power to you Swoosh English! 🙂 Rose
